REV. CHRIS BLALOCK
Chris Blalock began serving as pastor of Pinecrest on 2/23/26. Chris is a native of Charleston, graduate of North Greenville University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Dorothy, have two children, Thomas and Hope.
Prior to coming to Pinecrest, Chris served as the Student Pastor of The Passage Church, Wendell, NC; Collegiate Ministries Director, FBC Charleston; Church planter for Uptown Church, Charleston; Missionary to France with the International Mission Board; and Connections Pastor in Rincon, Georgia. JOY BOLTON
MUSIC DIRECTOR /
MINISTRY ASSISTANT
Joy began serving as the volunteer Music Director of Pinecrest in March 2022. A graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Church Music, Joy has served in churches in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Kentucky. Joy is also active in the work of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and served as the Kentucky WMU Executive Director from 1999-2018. She and her husband, Lee, retired to Charleston to be close to family and have been active members of Pinecrest for several years. Joy also began work as part-time ministry assistant in January 2023.

DANIEL DAVIS - Pastoral Intern
Daniel is a student at Charleston Southern University in Christian Studies and Business. He began working with Pinecrest youth in 2025 and became a pastoral intern in the summer of 2026. Daniel is working closely with our pastor to not only learn the workings of a church, but to assist with a variety of tasks including teaching, committee meetings, special projects and more.
