Christopher Blalock - Pastor
Chris Blalock began serving as pastor of Pinecrest on 2/23/26. Chris is a native of Charleston, graduate of North Greenville University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Dorothy, have two children, Thomas and Hope.
Prior to coming to Pinecrest, Chris served as the Student Pastor of The Passage Church, Wendell, NC; Collegiate Ministries Director, FBC Charleston; Church planter for Uptown Church, Charleston; Missionary to France with the International Mission Board; and Connections Pastor in Rincon, Georgia.

Joy Bolton - Music Director / Ministry Support Specialist
Joy began serving as the volunteer Music Director of Pinecrest in March 2022. A graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Church Music, Joy has served in churches in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Kentucky. Joy is also active in the work of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and served as the Kentucky WMU Executive Director from 1999-2018. She and her husband, Lee, retired to Charleston to be close to family and have been active members of Pinecrest for several years. Joy also served as part-time ministry assistant from 2023-26 and moved in into a volunteer role as Ministry Support Specialist in October 2026.

Daniel Davis - Pastoral Intern
Daniel is a student at Charleston Southern University in Christian Studies and Business. He began working with Pinecrest youth in 2025 and became a pastoral intern in the summer of 2026. Daniel is working closely with our pastor to not only learn the workings of a church, but to assist with a variety of tasks including teaching, committee meetings, special projects and more.

Suzanne Elizabeth Atiyeh - Administrative Assistant
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Suzanne has an AA with emphasis in Oceanography from Clatsop College, Astoria, Oregon as well as an MFA in Studio Arts from UC Irvine.
She grew up fishing and swimming in mountain streams, hiking in the woods, and beach combing. She has four grown children, two of whom work in high tech, one has a VRBO in Phoenix, and one is doing a post graduate program in Chinese medicine.
She is devoted to her Christian studies, and feels that the Bible is an unending dynamic document that continues to reveal truth and beauty. It is truly the Living Word. She enjoys teaching the Bible in a Sunday school class to elementary aged students. Her other areas of interest are painting and geology.
She currently works part-time at Folly Beach County Park, and has extensive work history in multiple roles and disciplines. Since being newly installed as the church secretary/administrative assistant it is her promise to honor the church and this position with integrity and love.
Dorothy Blalock - Digital Ministry Director
Dorothy began serving at Pinecrest in February 2026. She is a Charleston native, and a North Greenville University graduate. She helped plant a church in Wagener Terrace and served as a missionary in France for 2 years. She has 14 years of digital marketing experience and she also has a custom art business on the side. She has 2 kids, Tommy and Hope, and she also leads the children’s church ministry on Sunday mornings. She is passionate about connecting people to Jesus!

Lee Bolton
Lee is a retired pastor who served churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Kentucky. He is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He retired to Charleston to be close to family and has been part of Pinecrest since 2020 as a Bible study teacher, worship leader, choir member, and deacon. He enjoys spectator sports, including watching his grandsons play a variety of sports.
